Hermès has introduced Into the Horsescape, its ninth Haute Bijouterie collection, during Paris Haute Couture Week Fall/Winter 2026–27, held from 6–9 July in Paris. Designed by Pierre Hardy, Creative Director of Hermès Jewellery, the collection explores the Maison's equestrian heritage through abstract interpretations of riding equipment rather than direct depictions of horses.
The collection comprises 90 one-of-a-kind high jewellery creations, drawing inspiration from horse bits, stirrups, bridles, harness buckles, lassos, horseshoes and blacksmith's nails. These functional equestrian elements are translated into sculptural jewellery through articulated constructions, flexible mechanisms and contemporary forms intended to move naturally with the body.
According to Pierre Hardy, the collection adopts a symbolic approach to Hermès' heritage. "The horse itself is barely seen, but its symbolism lives within each piece," he said, describing the collection as an interpretation of the Maison's relationship with time, craftsmanship and materials.
The collection is organized into several design chapters. Étreintes reinterprets horse bits through sweeping lines set with emeralds and diamonds, while Lasso Disco recreates the movement of a lasso using baguette-cut diamonds. Attelage d'Or references bridles and harness buckles, and Sellette transforms an eighteenth-century miniature saddle from the Émile Hermès Collection into a bracelet crafted in gold, diamonds and satin-finished titanium. Other highlights include Clou de Forge Lumière, inspired by horseshoe nails, and Galop Hermès, one of the collection's few designs to reference the horse's silhouette directly.
Across the collection, Hermès combines white and brown diamonds with emeralds, black jade, tourmalines, moonstones, opals and other gemstones to create texture, movement and colour contrast. The Maison stated that gemstone selection prioritizes each stone's role within the overall design composition rather than rarity alone.
The launch formed part of a broader series of high jewellery presentations during Paris Haute Couture Week, where leading luxury houses unveiled their latest haute joaillerie collections alongside the couture calendar.
