Italian luxury jewellery house Damiani has introduced Arte Maestra, a new High Jewellery collection comprising eight unique creations inspired by celebrated works of art from different periods and cultures. The collection was unveiled at an exclusive event on Lake Como on June 11 before being showcased during Paris Haute Couture Week.
Arte Maestra explores the relationship between fine art and jewellery craftsmanship, translating iconic paintings into one-of-a-kind necklaces through gemstone selection, goldsmithing techniques and bespoke design. Each creation references a specific masterpiece while interpreting its colours, forms and symbolism in precious materials.
The collection includes Floréa, inspired by Sandro Botticelli's Primavera and featuring more than 1,000 emeralds alongside rubies, sapphires and diamonds; Malìa, based on Caravaggio's Medusa, centred on a Burmese "Pigeon's Blood" ruby of over six carats; and En-Plein-Air, referencing Claude Monet's Water Lilies, with a Colombian emerald exceeding 10 carats as its focal stone.
Other creations include Impetuosa, inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's The Great Wave off Kanagawa using blue sapphires, Paraíba tourmalines and a trilliant-cut diamond; Estasi, drawing from Gustav Klimt's The Kiss through yellow gold, onyx, rubies and a Tanzanian spinel; Autumn Impressions, inspired by Korean painter Jeong Seon's A Leisurely Cat in Autumn; Pentagramma, interpreting Wassily Kandinsky's abstract compositions with fancy-coloured diamonds; and Radiosa, based on Vincent van Gogh's Sunflowers, featuring a removable pendant centred on a 21-carat fancy yellow-brown diamond.
The launch event brought together members of the Damiani family alongside international guests including actress Mun Ka-young, supermodel Mariacarla Boscono, entrepreneur Chiara Ferragni and tennis player Jasmine Paolini. The collection continues the luxury jewellery sector's focus on narrative-led high jewellery presentations during the 2026 couture season, with maisons increasingly drawing inspiration from art, culture and heritage to showcase craftsmanship and exceptional gemstones.
