SGL has undertaken to issue on-site jewellery reports at the 37th Mideast Watch & Jewellery Show. For the first time SGL will provide a fully equipped, working laboratory for all attending the show. This new initiative follows as a request by attendees to incorporate a lab service at the show, to get their jewellery examined by SGL gemmologists as well as receive reports that are issued on-site.

The event is slated from the 14-18 October, at the Sharjah Expo Centre held in Sharjah, UAE.

SGL noted that its initiative at the Fair enables it to promote consumer confidence whilst buying and selling at the show. Previously, buyers interested in uncertified jewellery relied only on what sellers would communicate and/or personal knowledge, often resulting in unfulfilled transactions.

"In this economy, every trade is vital to our industry," stated SGL Director Shirin Bandukwalla. "By offering full SGL on-site jewellery certification at the Sharjah Show, our intent is to support more efficient and successful trade between exhibitors and buyers."
