Venus Jewel gets certified by RJC

Indian diamond manufacturing Venus Jewel, has become the first Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC) member in India to achieve certification, meeting the ethical, human rights, social and environmental standards established by the RJC Member Certification System. The requisite verification assessment of the company was conducted by SGS, a highly regarded and international auditing company accredited by RJC in July 2010.

The RJC Member Certification System stands unique for the quality and breadth of its scope and standards and the integrity and transparency of its developmental process.

“Venus Jewel is the first of a significant wave of India-based companies that will achieve certification this year,” says Michael Rae, RJC’s chief executive.

“Venus Jewel was established in 1969 and since its foundation has committed to the highest level of ethics, transparency and consistency. We have an unrivalled reputation for integrity, technical innovation and expertise that we are proud to have achieved over the years.
