The results prove that the market for such jewels continues to be robust. The sale was led by a spectacular jadeite bead and diamond necklace, which achieved HK$7,530,000. Signed jewels by top jewellery houses ignited confident bidding, including pieces by Cartier and the iconic ‘Zip’ Necklace by Van Cleef & Arpels, among others. Of particular note was the sale of a 7.09 carat Golconda diamond ring, by Cartier selling for HK$4,590,000 (US$586,602), nearly double the low estimate.”
