Yelp names Diane Irvine as Chairwoman

diamond world news service

In an epoch making event, Diane Irvine, the talented lady who has been on the Yelp Inc’s board since 2011, has been elevated to the position of Chairwoman.  As Diane Irvine pointed out  the scarcity of women in her position in Silicon Valley, noting, "The percentages of women on boards is not where we would like it to be, yet there are women on boards so it could happen and should happen one company at a time.”

Diane Irvine succeeds Max Levchin, an early investor in the consumer-review company, who stepped down as chairman in July.

It may be recalled that Diane Irvine was former CEO of online jewelry retailer Blue Nile and one of the few successful women in the Silicon Valley.
