Swiss luxury house Piaget has revealed its newest high jewellery line, Shapes of Extraleganza, at the architectural marvel Casa Corberó in Barcelona. The 51-piece collection brings together vivid gemstones, sculptural goldwork, and playful creativity, reaffirming Piaget’s reputation as a master of colour, joy, and unconventional design.
Designed as a celebration of Yves Piaget’s legacy of artistry and creative collaborations, the collection features three distinctive suites – Joyful Twirls, Wave Illusion, and Flowing Curves. Each set expresses a unique rhythm, yet all converge in a kaleidoscope of movement, texture, and exuberance.
Rare gemstones sourced from exceptional origins – including mines that are now closed – are at the heart of the creations. Spirals of rainbow-hued stones adorn cuff watches, hammered gold flows around fiery opals, and secret watch rings hide whimsical dials beneath aquamarine cabochons.
“Extraleganza is about balancing elegance with extravagance,” said Jean-Bernard Forot, Piaget’s Head of Patrimony. “These jewels are technical feats, but above all, they are meant to spark emotion. Very few artisans can work at this level, and the goal was to create something that makes you feel joy immediately.”
The launch marks the second chapter in Piaget’s high jewellery trilogy, following the Essence of Extraleganza unveiled in Paris in 2024. The final instalment is expected later this year, though the maison has kept its location under wraps.
By embracing bold forms and chromatic brilliance, Shapes of Extraleganza stands as a testament to Piaget’s enduring spirit of freedom, expression, and joy – not just as jewellery, but as wearable art.
