The Natural Diamond Council (NDC) has appointed Amber Pepper as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 February 2026. Pepper will lead the organisation’s global strategy to strengthen consumer demand and reinforce the desirability of natural diamonds at a time when the category faces heightened competition and shifting consumer behaviour.

A seasoned leader in luxury brand transformation, Pepper brings extensive experience in steering commercial growth, digital innovation and consumer-centric storytelling across global fashion and retail brands. Her previous leadership roles at Tapestry, Farfetch, Harrods and most recently Mytheresa — where she served as Chief Marketing and Customer Officer and Managing Director — have centred on building emotionally resonant brands and engaging next-generation luxury consumers.

At the NDC, Pepper will focus on crafting a compelling narrative for natural diamonds, expanding digital engagement with Gen Z and global luxury buyers, and driving measurable commercial outcomes for the industry. Strengthening partnerships across the value chain and ensuring natural diamonds maintain clear differentiation will be key priorities as the Council enters its next phase of growth.

Sandrine Conseiller of the NDC said, “We are delighted to welcome Amber as the new CEO of the Natural Diamond Council. Her global perspective, commercial expertise and deep understanding of luxury consumers make her an exceptional choice to lead the Council and galvanise the industry.”

Pepper succeeds David Kellie, who will retire at the end of this year. Kellie, who joined the NDC in 2019, led the organisation through its transition from the Diamond Producers Association to the Natural Diamond Council and strengthened relationships across global markets during a period marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving consumer expectations.

The NDC acknowledged Kellie’s contributions and extended its best wishes for his next chapter.
