Marking its crystal anniversary, this year’s event will centre on the theme “Eye on the Prize: Towards Continuing Improvement in Practice and Artistry,” reinforcing IAC’s commitment to sustainability, equity, and cultural integrity across the jewellery and precious metals sectors.

The three-day in-person conference will begin with a welcome reception at Heritage Auctions, Park Avenue, on July 14, followed by two days of discussions at Bohemian National Hall. The programming spans a broad agenda—from climate justice and labour rights to traceability innovations, responsible sourcing models, and the future of artisanal craftsmanship.

Notable speakers include Ivor Agyeman-Duah (Manhyia Palace Museum), Charlie Betts (Betts Metals), Rachel Brandrick (886 by The Royal Mint), John Mulligan (World Gold Council), Emefa Cole (V&A Museum), and Nicolas Luchsinger (Buccellati), among many others from across the global jewellery value chain.

A highlight of the conference will be the presentation of IAC’s annual awards. Ute Decker will receive the 8th Responsible Practice in Jewelry Leadership Award for her advocacy in ethical sourcing and design transparency. David Block, CEO of Sarine Technologies, will be honoured with the Award for Extraordinary Contributions to the Diamond and Jewelry Industries for his advancements in diamond traceability.

Organisers say the event arrives at a pivotal moment for the industry, as it grapples with evolving consumer values, geopolitical uncertainty, and the urgency of sustainable transformation. Supported by partners including the World Gold Council, SCS Global Services, Betts Metals, and CIBJO, the conference continues to serve as a vital platform for inclusive dialogue and collaborative action.
