Eleanor H. Yeh, a 2024 graduate from GIA’s London campus, received the prestigious award during the GIA Alumni Collective celebration in Tucson, Arizona. Her intricate hand-rendered design, inspired by Renaissance-era motifs from the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence, features detailed goldwork, pearls, and vibrant gems.

The competition showcased 14 finalists from GIA campuses worldwide, with an esteemed panel of judges selecting Yeh’s design for its artistry and craftsmanship. GIA President and CEO Susan Jacques praised the competition, stating, “These beautiful hand renderings highlight the tangible, personal connection that jewellery evokes.” Larry French of the Gianmaria Buccellati Foundation congratulated Yeh and commended the dedication of GIA’s instructors in nurturing young talent.

The award, established in 2018, recognises outstanding jewellery design students and encourages the next generation of master designers. The 2025 competition is now open to eligible GIA students. For more details, visit GIA.edu.
