Leading jewellery manufacturing and retail entity Tara Jewels has decided to close shutters at three of its stores, which are gold centric, and which it considers are less profitable, reports say. The jewellery intends to focus on the high- margin diamond and studded jewellery segment, reports add.

The company is also planning fresh strategies to be in sync with the present government regulations affecting the gem and jewellery sector and also plans to increase its retail footprint in the medium and long-term with low cost initiatives.

At present, with the closure of the three stores, located in Delhi and Pune, the company’s retail stores would stand at 37.
