Kalyan Jewellers has launched a unique concept in jewellery, in collaborative efforts with iDNA, as technology partner, reports say. The line of jewellery offers pieces that will include a wearer’s DNA and will thus be customised. This collection is entitled as HELIX - DNA, reports say.

The process of embedding one’s DNA into the jewellery requires the individual to send the DNA sample using a collection kit to the company. This is then further sent to iDNA. Further, iDNA creates a graphic image of the DNA sample, which is embossed on the jewellery.

Rings, bracelets and pendants make up the collection’s offerings. It is another dimension to personalised jewellery.

In the initial stages, the jewellery will be retailed across a limited number of stores of the company, reports suggest. It will also expand the base of the HELIX - DNA jewellery items.
