World Gold Council appoints Sally Morrison as Managing Director, Jewellery

Sally will be responsible for the organisation’s worldwide jewellery operations.

The World Gold Council, the market development organisation for the gold industry, has appointed Sally Morrison as Managing Director, Jewellery. Based in New York, Sally will be responsible for the organisation’s worldwide jewellery operations.

Sally joined the World Gold Council as Director, Jewellery in 2012 from Forevermark where she was Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Sally held senior positions at JWT, Miramax and AmFAR.

Sally has significant experience of the global jewellery market, as well as marketing and brand management expertise. Throughout her career she has lead cutting edge marketing initiatives including innovative digital campaigns, creative celebrity collaborations, and marrying jewellery with the worlds of art and film. She has been instrumental in the development of the LoveGold digital brand which was recently nominated for a prestigious GEM Awards for communications. LoveGold, which features the world’s most beautiful gold jewellery, the designers creating it and the people wearing it, was launched in January 2013.

Commenting on her appointment Sally said, “I’m thrilled to be taking on this role at an incredibly important time for the gold market. I look forward to continuing to expand the LoveGold platform and working with innovative designers, stylists and artists to promote the use of gold in luxury jewellery.”
