Online diamond and diamond jewelry retailer Blue Nile, Inc. has appointed Scott Howe, CEO and President of Acxiom Corporation to its Board of Directors. Prior to his current role, Howe was Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Advertising Business Groups, where he managed a multibillion-dollar business including all emerging businesses related to online advertising that included search, display, in-game, mobile, digital cable and a variety of enterprise software applications.

Earlier in his career, he was with the Boston Consulting Group and Kidder, Peabody & Company, Inc. In addition to that Scott Howe serves on the Board of Directors for the Center for Medical Weight Loss, and is a former director of the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB) and Turn, Inc. However, Howe will be the ninth director on the board for Blue Nile.
