DDC President Reuven Kaufman announced that the Israel Diamond Week (IDW) will see a participation of over 400 companies, including American and Israeli companies, retailers, traders and diamantaires from other Bourses, on the Club’s trading floor. The IDW is slated from November 11-14, 2013.

According to Kaufman, attendees will have an opportunity to buy and sell from an unusually large assortment of merchandise of all shapes, colors, sizes and prices. Along with the trading, Mr. Kaufman noted other special events would also be part of the IDW- including presentations by Israel’s United Nations Ambassador Ron Prosor and another by noted industry journalist and commentator Chaim Even-Zohar on the state of the industry. Also, through the four days, participants will have an opportunity to meet with representatives of various labs, insurance companies, security institutions, shipping companies and trade shows.

Mr. Kaufman thanked the major sponsors of IDW, including the Forty Seventh Fifth Company LLC and the Gemological Institute of America and praised the New York City Police Department for its cooperation in arranging special security for this event.
