'Glimpz-13 Exhibition’, marked an important event for the Indian Institute of Gems & Jewellery. Every year its 3-Year Diploma Course culminates with a Graduating Project during which the students create collections of jewellery on certain themes.

This year, Ms Poonam Soni, Founder of Poonam Soni Signature Line Pvt. Ltd, chief guest on the occasion, inaugurated GLIMPZ 13 Exhibition and a special CD. During the event, jewellery collections conceptualized and designed by individual students from the 7th Batch of the 3 year Diploma Course, were showcased. For this project, the students were asked to develop their collections based on the theme ‘fashion fiesta’, leading to a wide assortment of jewellery designs in the show.

Taking into the consideration the rising gold price, students this year were asked to design one piece out of their collection, using material other than precious metals and stones. Students not only displayed their jewellery through an exhibit but also presented a ramp walk display, participating as models themselves.

After seeing the efforts put in by the students, Chief Guest Ms Poonam Soni mentioned that she was very happy to see the skills gained by the students during this 3 years program. She also shared precious tips, to enable the students grow in their career.
