Anglo American’s Cynthia Carroll resigns

Will remain in the role until a successor is appointed

Anglo American’s CEO, Cynthia Carroll has resigned, reports say. She as such she will also be surrendering her role as De Beers chairman, reports add. Carroll had been appointed chairman at De Beers less than a month ago, when she monitored Anglo American taking over the Oppenheimer ‎family’s 45 percent stake in De Beers.

Carroll will continue as CEO until a successor is appointed, and after a transition position, reports add.
