Moti Ganz has been re-elected as Chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), by its Board of Directors. Ganz noted that his efforts will be directed in advancing Israel’s diamond industry, with a focus on creating a comprehensive 10-year strategic plan, to position the Israeli diamond industry as a global leader in rough and polished diamonds, reports say.

As Chairman of IDI in his preceding tenures, Ganz has contributed in promoting the industry’s marketing efforts in China and India, opening a representative office in Hong Kong and expanding IDI's trade show presence in India, Thailand and China. He also worked with the banks and the government for the benefit of the Israel diamond industry, promoted cooperation among industry players and urged for open dialogue with rough diamond producers so there would be uninterrupted rough diamond supply to Israel.

Besides being the new Chairman at IDI, Ganz is also president of the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) and as honorary president of the Israel Diamond Manufacturers Association (IsDMA) and owner of the MotiGanz Diamond Group.
