Chow Tai Fook’s revenues up 61%

Retail sales accounted for majority of revenues

The year closing on March 31, 2012, was one that earned profits and a good increase in sales for Chow Tai Fook. In the said 12 months, revenue was up 61 percent (on y-o-y basis) to $7.3 billion. The company’s retail sales made for around 83 percent of revenues while the remainder was contributed by its wholesale sales.

Same-store sales was up 40.3 percent, while gross profit margin rose to 29.1 percent (the same was 28.3 percent in the corresponding previous year). The company’s net income was rose by 79 percent to $847 million.

The company is a sightholder of Diamond Trading Company (DTC) and Rio Tinto. Its growth in the Mainland China was up 64 percent and that in Hong Kong, Macau and other Asian markets was up 58 percent. The company had increased its point of sales from 1,358 in the previous year to 1,627 at the end of the year closing March 31, 2012.
