AGS appoints its new Director of Diamond Grading

The new position will support AGS’s commitment towards service and growth

Alethea Inns is appointed to take on the role of Director of Diamond Grading at the American Gem Society Laboratories, LLC (AGS Labs). The new position of Director of Diamond Grading is part of the AGS Lab’s commitment towards growth, maintaining its service, and towards its one-week turnaround time of grading results.

Ms. Inns holds Graduate Gemologist (in residence), Accredited Jewelry Professional, Graduate Pearls, and Jewelry Business Management credentials from GIA. In her gemological career she has served with GIA's Gem Trade Laboratory in the Diamond Grading and Gem Identification departments, besides sharpening her skills in gemological materials and techniques, including grading, advanced testing, research, and evaluation.

“We’re very excited to have Alethea join the AGS Laboratories’ management team,” said Peter Yantzer, Executive Director of the AGS Labs. He continued, “Alethea brings a broad range of technical knowledge and practical experience that is perfectly suited to the Laboratory and our future plans.”
