diamond world news service

On behalf of the Israel Diamond Institute Group of Companies (IDI), its Chairman Moti Ganz will induct Varda Shine, CEO of the Diamond Trading Company into the IDI League of Honor. Although the IDI League of Honor was established to honor the contribution of heads of state and government ministers to the global diamond industry, IDI believed Ms. Shine deserved this recognition for her efforts in bringing social change to communities around the world.

The award ceremony will be held at the September Hong Kong Jewellery and Gem Fair which is opening next week, during an invitation-only Fair Reception on September 19 at the Asia World-Expo Arena Kitchen. The reception is being sponsored by IDI, which is a central participant in the Fair. Newly-elected Israel Diamond Exchange President Yair Sahar will speak at the reception as well.

IDI is preparing a participation of over 105 exhibitors in two separate Israel Diamond Pavilions and at various other locations at the fair. This fair marks the importance IDI places in Hong Kong as its market for diamond exports, with Israeli Consul General in Hong Kong Amikam Levy attending the opening ceremony, an IDI image booth at the heart of each pavilion, a mini-site, and the distribution of a special supplement created with organizers UBM.
