The Flemish port city is set to be the backdrop of a Bollywood film, as Bollywood film producer Mukesh Bhatt readies to shoot his film in the area. The producer was inspired by the Indian diamond community in Antwerp, most of who are working in Antwerp’s diamond sector.

The film is named ‘Blood Money’ and is scripted as a tale of a married couple who gets a transfer from India to Antwerp, and their life thereafter.

This is the maiden Bollywood venture in Antwerp and is being supported by the Flemish tourist board with € 143,000, to encourage tourism in Flanders. The film project in Antwerp is expected to begin on August 22.
