Tanishq plans to merge itself with Titan Industries

Tanishq (India) Ltd., has filed a petition with the High Court in the state of Karnataka, in a move to merge itself with its parent company Titan Industries ltd. Tanishq has been a reputed jewellery brand and has been active in the areas of gold and gold studded jewellery that has been offering affordable, elite and designer jewellery, besides collections based on various occasions and wearabilities, from everyday wear to bridal wear.

The merger plans follow the parent company’s intent to reduce the number of its subsidiaries, it owns two others - Titan Time products Ltd and Titan Properties Ltd. The Board at Titan has passed a Scheme of Amalgamation to this effect, reports suggest.
