2010 delivers robust sales for Swatch Group

The Swatch Group has clocked sales figures in 2010 that have surpassed its previous highest sales figures of 2008 by 12.7 percent. In 2010, the sales valued £4.1bn, high by 21.8 percent over sales of 2009 at constant exchange rates.

The Group’s watch segment dishes out brands such as Swatch, Omega and Longines, whose sales was robust across all markets. The price of the watches rose 28.1 percent in sales. Christmas month of December contributed to 21 percent rise in sales of watches and jewellery, and the company has noted a double-digit growth also in January 2011.

For the year 2011, the Group has positive plans to achieve good organic sales while simultaneously concentrating on production and distribution.
