A Barbie® doll, designated as the world’s most expensive will feature at Christie's New York Jewels: The New York Sale, amongst the other blockbuster lots of the sale. The doll will be auctioned without reserve and all profits from the sale will benefit The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The doll was designed by Australian fine jewelry designer Stefano Canturi. It appears wearing a black strapless party dress, pink peep-toe stilettos, with a necklace carrying a one-carat Fancy Vivid diamond. Its estimate sale price is set between $300-000-500,000.

The necklace on the doll is a Canturi collar necklace narrating the Stefano Canturi's 'Cubism' style of arranging carré- and baguette-cut diamonds in geometric pattern. Three carats of white diamonds comprise the dazzling necklace, which is centered on a one carat emerald cut Fancy Vivid purplish-pink diamond, from the Argyle diamond mine. Canturi partnered with Christie's and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® to place this iconic doll on auction for a social cause. "We are honored and thrilled that Stefano Canturi chose The Breast Cancer Research Foundation as the beneficiary of this special Barbie," said Evelyn H. Lauder, Chairman and Founder of The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®. "It is a perfect match as BRCF supports special research."

'BarbieTM by Stefano Canturi' was unveiled to the public on September 10 at New York's Fashion's Night Out and will be taken to additional previews at the Canturi Las Vegas and New York salons, from where it will be placed for public viewing at Christie's Rockefeller Center galleries in New York as part of its pre-sale exhibition running October 16 - 19.
