Online registrations begin for WJCEF Executive Course

The course is the most comprehensive CSR programme for the jewellery industry

The World Jewellery Confederation Education Foundation (WJCEF) has provided for online registrations to the first Executive Course in Corporate Social Responsibility, to be held in Antwerp, Belgium, between June 20 until 22, 2010. For this, a dedicated registration module has been launched on the CIBJO website at www.cibjo.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=196&Itemid=42 which can also be accessed via the CIBJO homepage at www.cibjo.org. Applicants can fill the online registration form or download the registration documents from the website, along with a complete information pack about the WJCEF Executive Course in CSR.

The WJCEF Executive Course has been prepared by a team of CSR experts from the University of Geneva, University of St. Michael's College in the University of Toronto, and MHC International. It is designed to be the most comprehensive programme in Corporate Social Responsibility for the jewellery industry, intending to enhance roles of companies to help fulfill the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals. HRD Antwerp will be hosting the course.

The content of the course will include principal models and strategies for Corporate Social Investment, their application in an industry dominated by smaller and medium-sized enterprises, the impact of CSR on supply chains and a variety of practical case studies, a special overview of Corporate Social Responsibility presented by experts from the CSR Certificate programme at the University of St. Michaels's College in the University of Toronto. The course will be delivered by instructors from the academia and the industry.

WJCEF was established by CIBJO in December 2008 with the purpose of instilling the principle of Corporate Social Responsibility in the international jewellery industry and trade.
