The Gemological Institute of America (GIA) has made its latest Distance Education 2009 Quarterly available online. This online version outlines GIA’s education programmes and contains videos for students of GIA Distance Education to learn to enhance their studies through eLearning.

One shows how the Institute and the industry use GIA’s Seven Pearl Value Factors™ to evaluate pearls and pearl jewellery, while the other looks at how a single diamond changed history.

The Distance Education students can apply for financial assistance through a GIA Scholarship by completing a scholarship application and submitting it to the Institute on or before October 30, 2009.
