Sales at Saks fall by 26% in February

The retailer owns over 100 stores

Saks Inc has released its financial results for the month of February 2009, in which it noted a 26 percent fall in its same-store sales. Its owned sales also slipped by 26 percent amounting to $166.7 million, while in February 2008 the owned sales valued at $227.6 million.

The retailer is present through 53 Saks Fifth Avenue stores, 51 Saks OFF 5TH stores and its online presence Saks.com. Sales were overall weak in almost all product categories of the retailer.
