Students of IIGJ institutes gather for honours

Mr. Ketan Parikh encourages winners with ‘Entrepreneurship in the Industry’

IIGJ (Andheri) and IIGJ (Tardeo) together felicitated students of the Short-term Course Certificates on 18th February 2009, amongst a gathering of Mr. Ketan Parikh, Director of Mahendra Brothers Exports Pvt. Ltd, as Chief Guest of the occasion, Mr. Vasant Mehta, Chairman of GJEPC and IIGJ (Andheri), Mr. Arun Shah, Member of the Advisory Board IIGJ (Andheri), Mrs. Namita Pandya, Convener of IIGJ (Tardeo), Col. (Retd) S. K. Arora, Head of IIGJ (Andheri), Mr. Mithlesh Pandey, Deputy Director- IIGJ (Tardeo), Faculty and Staff of both the IIGJ.

This has been the first time when students of both the institutes came together as a single group, marking the solidarity between both the institutes, something which Mr. Mehta expressed upon congratulating the students. While handing over the Certificates to the students of various courses of both the Institutes, Mr. Ketan Parikh encouraged them to learn the various arts and crafts of the jewellery industry. Mr. Parikh had been highly instrumental in setting up the IIGJ (Andheri), where his illustrious family reputation in the industry is cited as the Bagmal Campus of IIGJ (Andheri) has been named after his father. In appreciation of the efforts of the youngsters who received the certificates, Mr. Parikh handed them a memento - a book on the’ Entrepreneurship in the Industry’.
