A 525.55 carat tanzanite, cut and polished in Jaipur

Sourced by TanzaniteOne in early-2008 and cut and polished by Rare Multicolor Gems at its Jaipur outfit, is a 525.55 carat tanzanite stone, considered the largest found to date. The stone will be displayed at the Tucson Gemfair from February 4 to 9, 2009, but prior to that it would be sent to the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) for grading and certification based on the Tanzanite Foundation’s Tanzanite Quality Scale™.
