Alrosa’s 29th diamond auction yields $17 million

Alrosa recently conducted its 29th rough diamond auction, offering 334 gems, amounting to 5,200 carats total in weight. The auction saw over 30 companies from Russia, Israel, Belgium, India, and the United Arab Emirates participating. Of the gems on offer the largest was of 39.36 carats. The auction yielded $17 million, at an average value of $3,269 per carat. It was co-organised by Diamond Chamber of Russia.
