Deborah Pienica, MD for IGI Belgium, stated that, “Starting Wednesday, July 8, we will be happy to welcome a maximum of eight students per course / classroom in order to abide by social distancing regulations. All other health and safety measures, mandated by the Belgian Ministry of Public Health, will be strictly adhered to, as the wellbeing of our students and staff is of paramount importance. In addition, each student will receive a ‘IGI Healthy Kit’ upon enrolling in any of the courses.”

While education has always been important to the Institute, it will be even more critical to proactively expand jewellers’ knowledge base and skills when the new gemological and jewellery industry landscape emerges, once the COVID-19 crisis is behind us.
