HRD Antwerp team at Facets Show in Colombo, Sri Lanka

The HRD Antwerp team visited the recently concluded Facets Show at Colombo, Sri Lanka. As part of their global expansion plans, Sri Lanka is the new education partner for HRD Antwerp's educational services through Sri Lanka's well known gemmological institute - IGA in Colombo.

Hon. Daya Gamage - Minister of Primary Industries and Social Empowerment, Sri Lanka meet with Mr. Ramazan Mete Alak - EVP Global Sales and Ms. Vidhya Mazumdar - Retail Business Development Director during the show. He expressed his positive views on the industry and about the current market situation. 

Mr. Ramazan Mete Alak stated "In the kingdom of gemstones, HRD Antwerp has laid the foundation for diamond and retail jewellery education. We conducted a trial workshop in the month of May and in spite of the unfortunate events in Colombo and its surrounding areas, we received a good response for our diamond practical workshop. More such courses have been scheduled from the month of September."

With more than forty years of experience, HRD Antwerp is the reference for education. Professional diamond graders, sorters and gemmologists from all over the world attend their international course programme. They offer courses in diamond grading, gemmology, sorting of rough and polished diamonds, jewellery design and sales. In addition, they can create tailor-made programmes for companies and organisations, run professional workshops worldwide and offer individual coaching.
