Sterling to open unit at WDM premises in India

After operating its subcontracting unit for two years, Sterling Jewelers Inc. said that it was officially openning the Signet Sourcing Manufacturing Unit, within the World Diamond Manufacturers (WDM) facility in Vishakhapatnam, India.

The opening coincides with WDM's 10th anniversary. "We are committed to further growing and investing in diamond manufacturing as well as in our relationship with our suppliers who still account for the majority of our polished-diamond sourcing," said Sterling Jewelers president and chief executive officer Mark Light. The Signet Sourcing Manufacturing Unit employs the latest technology and equipment.
