Luk Fook Holdings reported an 8% year-on-year increase in group revenue for the second quarter ended September 30, 2026, supported by stronger sales of weight-based gold products in Hong Kong and Macau and improved demand for diamond jewellery. Same-store sales at self-operated shops open for at least a year rose 12%, according to the company’s latest results, reported by Rapaport on October 25.

Sales in Hong Kong and Macau increased 17% during the quarter, while sales in mainland China declined 2%. In Hong Kong and Macau, same-store sales of gold products rose 24% year on year. However, fixed-price jewellery sales fell 13%, with fixed-price gold products declining 10%. Same-store sales of fixed-price diamond jewellery increased 7%.

On the mainland, same-store sales of gold products rose 6%, while fixed-price jewellery sales declined 14%. Within this category, same-store sales of fixed-price gold products fell 3%, while fixed-price diamond jewellery sales increased 17%.

Luk Fook continued to expand its international presence during the period. The group opened its first European store in London and re-entered Singapore in the first half of the financial year, achieving its full-year expansion target ahead of schedule.

During the second quarter, the jeweller closed a net 69 stores, bringing its total network to 2,788 locations.

Despite geopolitical risks and a weak mainland economy, the group said it remained cautiously optimistic about its long-term prospects. It expects to add a net 30 stores in overseas markets during the current financial year, while continuing to expand in China and accelerate international growth.
