Jivraj Surani, owner of JB Diamonds, has recently bought an aircraft manufactured by US company G4, for Rs.75 crore. This makes him the first in the diamond circle to own the aircraft. The aircraft originally a 28-seater, has been reworked to be a 12-seater, and includes facilities like a conference room, a kitchen and bedrooms.

This indulgence in luxury has been approved by the civil aviation ministry, who has permitted landing at Surat, Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Bhavnagar airports in Gujarat. “We have permission to use the hanger at Surat. We also have sought permission to land in Mumbai, and at airports in south”, said Surani. The proud owner said the aircraft would be used by his sons and other family members who operate from Hong Kong, China and Mongolia.
