He interacted with the diamond traders about the significance of the diamond industry in India’s economy. He was accompanied by Anand Sharma Former Union Minister of Commerce.

Deora fondly remembered his family’s association with the diamond industry and said that the industry has always supported his endevours and tweeted, “Met diamond traders at the Bharat Diamond Bourse with @AnandSharmaINC today. Employing more than 5 million workers, the industry is one of the backbones of the Indian economy.
