The recovery of a 92-carat diamond is a recent addition to the large diamond recoveries at the Lulo mine, as per reports. Prior to this, a 227 carat gem recovered from the same mining block was sold last month.

Lucapa Diamond Company noted that the diamond was recovered from the new Mining Block 28 and is of premium value, and recorded as a D-colour Type I diamond on the Yehuda colorimeter, reports add.

Following the recoveries of large diamonds from Lulo including the recent 92-carat stone, the company and its partners have recovered a total weight of over 10,000 carats of diamonds which are Special Stones from its Lulo mine, as per reports.
