To cater to specific pricing requirements

The Rapaport Group is getting more specific and detailed with its price lists. For trade convenience, it is introducing a weekly price list and a RapNet Asking Price Indices (RAPI) list. The first will summarise the best and average asking prices for several diamond categories.

The RAPI list is specifically for D-H color, IF-VS2 clarity diamonds ranging between 0.30 and 3 carats. According to the Group, this would enable increased transparency as it provides standardised discount information to the diamond trade. It will offer independent asking price figures while reflecting daily market forces and discount information. So far Rapaport has been publishing its standard Rapaport Price List for the industry.
