Tara Jewels secures $8 million order from Walmart USA

Tara Jewels secured a Rs 53.4 crore ($8 million) order for diamond studded jewellery supply from Walmart USA, reports say. The order is required to be delivered by October 15, reports add.

The jewellery company has its manufacturing units, three of them, in India, and a retail reach across 20 countries, with clients including Walmart, Kay Jewelers, Zales, Jared, Ernest Jones, H Samuels, Helzberg, JC Penney, Blue Nile, American Swiss, as some of the many. It also has an online retail venture with amazon.in and snapdeal.com.

The company’s stocks rose 9 percent to an intraday peak of Rs 35.80 after the announcement it made of securing the order. It closed at Rs 33 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), reports add.
