Bharat Diamond Bourse Emergency Medical Centre formally inaugurated

The centre will cater to a number of medical emergencies, requirements of members, brokers etc.

Bharat Diamond Bourse formally inaugurated the Emergency Medical Centre (EMC) within the complex at BKC, Mumbai, today.

The medical centre has been set up by Bharat Diamond Bourse (BDB) in association with Gem & Jewellery National Relief Foundation (GJNRF). The centre would be run by Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre.

Guest of honour for the event was Dr. Ramakant Panda, Vice Chairman & Managing Director Chief Consultant for Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery. Other eminent guest at the event were Anoop Mehta, President, BDB; Praveen Shankar Pandya, Chairman, GJNRF; Ketan Parikh, Managing Trustee, GJNRF; Sanjay Kothari, KGK.

Anoop Mehta in his opening address said “It is an honour to have Dr. Ramakant Panda. He is one of the leading Heart Specialist of the country. EMC will be looked after by his able staff. EMC will cater to all types of medical emergencies and treatments in the campus.” Dr. Ramakant Panda in his speech assured of good medical treatment to the members.

Located at D Tower, centre core ground floor adjacent to the Convenience Store, the newly inaugurated centre is equipped with latest medical facilities and trained staff from Asian Heart Institute and Research Centre. From Monday to Saturday a General Physician, Physiotherapist and Dentist will be available from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm to provide their services to BDB Members and their staff. Consulting service will be provided by Cardiologist, Gynaecologist, Orthopedic, Nephrologist and Diabetologist once a week as per their monthly schedule. The details are available at EMC. In addition, the sample collection centre for blood and urine will start shortly. Ambulance will be provided for emergency cases at free of cost to Asian Heart Hospital.
