Ms Nirupa Bhatt to leave Rio Tinto

New Mumbai head to be announced soon

In a recent announcement by Rio Tinto Diamonds, its Mumbai office head Ms Nirupa Bhatt has resigned from her services effective 30th November 2007. The new Head of Rio Tinto’s Mumbai representative office would be announced soon.

“Nirupa has made a great contribution to Argyle Diamonds, Rio Tinto and the Indian diamond industry at large since joining the business in 1989. We have been privileged to be associated with her over the years and wish her all the success in whatever future endeavours she may undertake” said Jean-Marc Lieberherr General Manager Marketing Rio Tinto Diamonds NV.
