Aalishan Pakistan to be held in New Delhi

The exhibition hopes to stabilise the bilateral trade between India and Pakistan

A large delegation of about 300 exhibitors are expected to arrive in India, as part of the 2nd Lifestyle Pakistan exhibition, Aalishan Pakistan, due to unfold this week, reports say. The exhibit will showcase a range of products from jewellery, accessories, textiles and agro, besides furniture and home décor.

The exhibition is a collaborative effort between the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), with the larger aim to support efforts of governments of both countries to bring about peaceful trade relations between the two.

The exhibition is slated between September 11-14 at New Delhi’s Pragati Maidan.

The event will be an opportunity to witness the highest quality products from Pakistan at a single destination, while also paving a way for future trade potential worth billions of dollars, reports add. Also, a group of Pakistani businessmen will be visiting India to scout foe trade opportunities across sectors. A Pakistan Fashion Show is scheduled prior to the exhibition, and will support the cause of the girl child, reports say.

Although, the backdrop before the event has been one of protests by some Hindu Groups the second Made In Pakistan Expo Mumbai being cancelled, reports say.
