DMCC hosts delegation from Madhya Pradesh

The purpose is to strengthen trade relations between India and UAE

DMCC, the gateway for commodity trade and enterprise in Dubai and the region hosted a visit by a delegation from Madhya Pradesh, the Indian state known for its resources in diamonds and commodities like wheat, sugarcanes, reports say. The purpose of this visit, which was to the Almas Tower, was to strengthen trade and international relations and explore cooperation opportunities between UAE and India.

The delegation was led by Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Yashodhara Raje Scindia, Minister of Industries and Commerce, MP, and Umashanker Gupta, Minister of HRD, MP. They interacted with senior management including Gautam Sashittal, Chief Executive Officer and Krysta Fox, Director - Free Zone, reports say.

The Indian delegation look upon this region as one to be offering advantages including those of land and power. There are 1,600 Indian registered companies operating from the DMCC Free Zone, in which many are from the gem and jewellery sector. Trade between India and UAE, in the commodities sector, has been existing over time, and has grown over the years. The visit aimed to strengthen this relation further.
