Shanti Jewels creates a gold shirt of Rs.1.47 crore

‘A Wearable Gold Shirt’ is what Mr. Pankaj Parakh desired to own and mark his birthday with it. The shirt was created for him by Mr.Mahendra Sanghvi , owner of Shanti Jewels LLP, Mumbai, and was designed by Shruti Sanghavi.

This designer gold shirt is a commercially viable garment made with a gold fabric comprising of fine wires handcrafted into a fabric. The core speciality of the shirt is that it is very practical. The making of the shirt has taken 19 handwork artisans and a total of 4584 workman hours.

It is considered by the company to be the world’s most expensive shirt and it has applied for the Guinness world records. The previous record holder for the most expensive gold shirt hails from Pune, who made a shirt worth Rs.70 lacs.

Mr. Pankaj Parakh is from Yeola, and played the role of Corporator since 1991 for 23 years. Since the last four years, he has been Suburban President of Yeola and is reputed as a humble social worker and a very humble person.

The shirt comprises of 4 kg gold and values approximately Rs.1.47 crore.
