The President of the Diamond Bourse of Canada (DBC) is heading a delegation of the trade body’s members to the International Diamond Week in Israel this September, reports say. The Diamond Bourse of Canada was officially accepted into the ranks of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses during the 36th World Diamond Congress in Antwerp.

IDE president Shmuel Schnitzer noted that ‘Canada is a key centre as a diamond producing country, and located in Toronto, it serves as an important distribution point for polished diamonds to reach Canada and also likely the northern, bordering states of the USA’, reports say. He added that the participation of the DBC to the event will foster an opportunity to work closely with the Canadian bourse, as the IDE members seek to enhance their networking.
