Vasantbhai Gajera Plans a Hospital, Medical College

Vasantbhai Gajera as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been involved in a number of welfare and charitable activities which have blossomed into several charitable institutions in the field of education, health, social welfare etc. Smt. Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Charitable Trust funds all the CSR activities of Gajera family.

Now, Vasantbhai Gajera is planning to set up a hospital and a medical college at a cost of Rs 60 crore in Amreli, Gujarat. However, permission for building a medical college will be given by Medical council and is still under process. The expenses towards the above will be met by Gajera trust only. Vasantbhai is very keen on his new venture and is looking forward to the day when the hospital and college will start functioning.

Vasantbhai’s other kind acts include Smt Shantaben Haribhai Gajera Shaishnik Sankul, Amreli to educate the underprivileged children in Amreli, Surat and Vapi. The Shantaben Haribhai Charitable Trust in Amreli takes care of meeting the funds for maintaining these schools. Another venture “Vidya Sabha” is constructed, for only boys, where 3,000 boys get education from KG to 12th Std. A new College, named Shri M L Kakadia M.C.A. Mahila College, Amreli, managed by Shree Amreli Jilla Leuva Patel Charitable Trust, Surat, was inaugurated. The college offers graduate and post graduate courses and is for girls only. Gajera Vidyabhavan, Surat provides ultra modern educational facilities to around 15,000 students, right from KG to higher secondary, in English as well as Gujarati medium. Laxmi Vidyapeeth, Vapi offers under graduate and post graduate programs in Engineering, computer applications, Business and Management studies. Vatsalya Dham on the banks of River Tapi, at Kholvad, in Surat, is a home for the aged and orphan children.
