Titan plans expanding into women’s wear accessories

Titan Company, the jewellery and watches retail arm of the Tata Group is planning to expand in size through a stronger presence and greater product offerings. It intends to foray into the women’s wear and accessories’ segment, reports say. Ultimately it seeks to grow in size, by around 2,5 times and reach revenues worth Rs 30,100 crore by 2019, reports add. It is outlining expenses worth Rs 1,000 crore, reports say.

Retail expansion in terms of number of stores will include reaching a 2,000 store count in the country within five years, with the jewellery unit being the major contributor towards profits, reports add.
