In the $2 billion lawsuit between Russian-Israeli businessman Arkady Gaydamak and his former business partner Lev Leviev, Gaydamak has lost the legal battle, reports say. The British High Court in London rejected the lawsuit, reports add.

The lawsuit has continued over years. It pertained to profit sharing from diamond mining in Angola. Following an agreement between the two entities, Leviev was to pay Gaydamak thousands of dollars, which he stopped since 2005, reports say. Also, Gaydamak had claimed to agree to end his partnership with Leviev in exchange for financial compensation, a passport and diplomatic immunity, but the latter was not fulfilled, while Leviev denied signing an agreement, reports add.
