Harry Winston supports UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute

Harry Winston, Inc. chose to associate with the UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute, part of the Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA, as part of its social initiatives. It donated a $1 million gift to the Institute to establish the Harry Winston Fellowship Fund, on April 10, reports say.

The event took place at the second annual Kaleidoscope Ball – Designing the Sweet Side of L.A. at the Beverly Hills Hotel, which supports the children’s hospital. The evening hosted glitterati.

Harry Winston will be the first corporate sponsor of Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA’s pediatric fellowship program, and through this it will help young paediatric physician-scientists in their research work, to treat the children, reports add. The recipients of Harry Winston Fellows and funding will be selected annually, by an internal team led by Dr. Sherin Devaskar, physician-in-chief of Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA and executive director of the UCLA Children’s Discovery and Innovation Institute, reports add.
